Moving To Wellington Part 1.

Packing up was harder than I thought. Feeding the bag  squashing everything into it. I look down at the message on the box my friend Hazel gave me it said:

Friends are like stars you may not always see them but you always know that they are there.

I saw all the other stuff my friends gave me A tear fell down my cheek. I look across the room to see Arielle sitting on her bag.

"Let's go!" I heard mum say cheerfully across the Kitchen. I was definitely not in a cheerful mood. I took my bag and walked through the stench of janola and said

"Goodbye Christchurch"

Driving all the way to picton was not the most awesome thing to do in the world but I had no choice. We sat down in a little cafe in some little town that if you drive past it you blink and it's gone. I was eating my crepe very slowly. It was a cute little cafe with a pond and it had the sound  of a waterfall as you eat your food. When we finally left sitting back into the car I was in a bit more in  a happier mood than before.

We drove up to the motel that was in the middle of nowhere. Me my brother and Arielle shared a cabin room thing and everyone else in another. We had a little snack and it was of to bed. I slept like a new born baby. I heard my dad knoking on the door saying penny penny penny he got that of the big bang theroy. I got dressed and of to breakfast.

I was full from breakfast all the pancakes I ate. Seeing the huge ferry and water just made everything worse.

Matariki

Matariki  is the begining of the Maori new year. And we have been celerbrating by creating art. In room 13 we have been creating Matariki panels to celerbrate matariki!

We had to divide our board that we painted black into three sections. Top one represents new growth, secound one you or your whanau (family) and bottom one matariki.

My first section is a sun and a koru growing. My next section is my family the biggest pattern is my dad and the other little patterns the rest of my family my three sisters me and my brother. Finally my bottom one is a marae and a kite flying in the sky. beacause at Matariki people fly kites.

When we had all our designs ready on our paper we had to tape up our board with masking tape. And put all our great ideas on the board. We cutted out our designs and we painted our board bright colours.

PhotobucketI really like my panel I think it looks really creative and colourful and I worked really hard on it.
